"Behold, the days come, says YHWH Elohim, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the Word of YHWH."
Life Skills from the Word of YHWH
The Ancient Paths of YHWH in
FAITH COMMUNITY & STEWARDSHIP
Mountlake College is dedicated to providing practical Torah based education in the Kingdom of Elohim. We regard the Aramaic Peshitta Ketuvim Netzarim (writings of the Netzarim) as a reliable account of Y'shua Mashiyach's Teaching. Many are discovering that the language and culture of Y'shua and his Disciples conveyed Ancient Truths of the Kingdom of Elohim that are not so readily available through the Greek language. The Dead Sea Scrolls also provide many insights into the original and ancient texts of the Jews. For those who care to live and learn the Kingdom of Elohim as understood by our forefathers, we join together as Kedoshim (Holy People) and "ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein," Jeremiah 6:16
Most of us have been in Bible studies where religious cliche's ruled the day, and we've been frustrated because because of the circular reasoning of status quo religion. We all appreciate what a difference it makes when there is prayer, meditation and personal revelation into questions that are difficult to answer, sometimes it is through group settings where we are able to put forth questions and input where the question itself takes on a "life" of it's own.
It is vital to continue developing strategies and techniques toward a differentiated curriculum which includes tiered scope and sequence elements, instructional strategies, material selection, evaluation etc. The educator must facilitate a group rather than rule over the class. Curriculum must not be about covering the facts but about discipleship, and encouraging students to actualize their authority in the Ruach haKodesh according to Mashiyach. The goal is not only to design a multi-tiered lesson plan, but to enable each one to bring forth his or her own unique revelations and insights in Mashiyach.
We are focused on restoring the Hebrew and Aramaic Torah based values and teaching of Y'shua Mashiyach within the Kingdom of Elohim. As there is no credible evidence that supports the idea of the "New Testament" coming from a Greek culture or Greek autograph, it is incumbent upon the Talmidim of Y'shua Mashiyach to continue in the values and teachings of Mashiyach from the Hebraic Culture from which He taught. The Talmidim of Y'shua did not "backslide" into Hellenized pagan values, but gave "all diligence regarding our common salvation, and did earnestly contend for the Faith once delivered unto the saints."
Our mandate is to seek and demonstrate the Kingdom of Elohim choosing to "come out of Babylon", and also choosing to avoid religious traditions and diversions that lead to backwards pagan thinking and living.
"The Torah of YHWH is Set Apart, Just and Good"
according to Apostle Paul (Romans 7:12).
All who follow the One True Mashiyach also echo these words. Y'shua brings Salvation, he is the Living Torah made manifest, it is incumbent on us to ingest Torah deep into our souls. We study the Torah portion each week, we daily meditate on Scripture and ask the Ruach HaKodesh to reveal Truth into our Neshama, helping us apply His Word to our lives.
We place little attention upon labels, if we must choose a label it is that of the Netzarim Yehudim or Netzarim Israelites. Apostle Paul was considered a "ringleader" of the Netzarim. The term Netzarim comes from Isaiah 11 referring to haMashiyach and his Followers as little sprouts of New Life coming forth into the Kingdom of Elohim.
We believe that the greatest and most profound education we can receive in this life, is to learn how to have a relationship with YHWH and His Mashiyach Y'shua. We do not have a different code of doctrines apart from Scripture that one must adhere to, our codes are based solely on Torah and the Life of Y'shua Mashiyach.
